Rudolf Ernest Fruend (1901-1955) was professor of Agricultural Economics at North Carolina State University (1946-1955). Freund was born in Psorzheim, Germany and received his Ph.D. from Heidelburg University. He left Germany in 1934 because of Hitler's rising regime and went to Sweden.
